DiPrete Engineering Promotes Two

DiPrete Engineering, a leading civil and environmental engineering firm with projects in Rhode Island and its two neighboring states has promoted two professional engineers from within the company.

David A. Russo, based out of the firm’s Cranston office, has been promoted to Project Manager while Molly R. Titus will join the team of leaders at the firm’s Newport office on Broadway.

Titus, a licensed Professional Engineer in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, joined DiPrete in 2011 and has been working out of the firm’s office in Cranston. With more than 18 years of land development experience, she has worked with both public and private clients on institutional, industrial, and commercial projects. Titus has since expanded into site design and permitting for high-end single family homes and on-site wastewater treatment systems, on projects such as Bishopsgate Road in Newton, MA, and Adams Street in Lexington, MA

“Our growing base of clients in Newport County made it necessary to expand the leadership team at our Broadway office,” said Greg Guglielmo, vice president at DiPrete Engineering. “Molly understands the marketplace, having lived in Newport for years, so she is the perfect fit to transfer from Cranston to Newport. Her engineering and management expertise gives her instant credibility and will allow us to grow our business on the island.”

Titus’ current projects include the Newport State Airport in Middletown, RI, a due diligence study at Spring Wharf in Newport, and the Butterfield Dining Hall expansion and renovation at the University of Rhode Island.

Russo will assume the role of Project Manager. He first joined DiPrete’s team in 1998 through a Cranston High School West internship, and has since earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science along with a Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering, both from the University of Rhode Island.

“David adroitly balances the regulatory and zoning requirements of sites with the needs of projects in terms of timelines, costs, ROI, and overall vision. He also exhibits tremendous credibility in making public presentations before planning and zoning boards,” said Hemant Ajbani, Chief Operations Officer at DiPrete Engineering.

A licensed Professional Engineer in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Russo has over 10 years of experience in roadway and utility design, stormwater management, and regulatory permitting. Currently, Russo is working on projects such as Cedar Ridge, a 127-unit multi-family development in West Greenwich, The Estates at Camden Woods, an 80-lot subdivision in Cranston, and the Briarcliffe Gardens Expansion, a senior living facility in Johnston.
