DiPrete Engineering has teamed up with Full Circle Design, a web developer based in Stoneham, MA, to launch its updated regional resource tool, which helps locate different planning, zoning, and permitting regulations in every town throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island as well as some towns in Connecticut and New Hampshire. The website provides information collected from various government websites in a simple and user-friendly manner.
“The original site was created for our internal team, but after realizing its value, we decided to make it accessible to the public,” said Greg Guglielmo, Executive Vice President of DiPrete Engineering. “Over the past few years, we noticed an increase in external use and decided it was time to take the site to the next level.”
The website’s upgraded navigation includes a Google maps application that displays the state the user is searching within along with searchable counties, and towns and cities within those counties. Once a town or city is selected, there are many options to explore including the town or city’s website, planning department, public works department, zoning regulations, subdivision regulations, registry of deeds, and GIS database.
“The new interface includes relevant agencies and governing entities on one easy-to-navigate page,” added Guglielmo. “Reducing the time spent doing this research is essential to our Lean environment at DiPrete. We encourage developers, attorneys, architects, engineers, and any others who find they are spending a lot of time searching for permits and paperwork to give our site a try. It should be a big time saver.”
