DiPrete Engineering teamed with Kaestle Boos Associates Architects, Pare Corporation, Building Engineering Resources, and Odeh Structural Engineers to design and permit a new $12.5 million public safety facility on 2.25 acres in Cumberland, Rhode Island. The proposed Cumberland Public Safety Complex will house the existing police operations, an expanded visitor center, and emergency rescue bays. The proposed building will total approximately 20,500 square feet.

The development plan included two new buildings, two parking lots (one at the front for visitors and one gated at the rear for police use), an impound yard, associated parking, loading, and drive aisles, stormwater management systems consisting of underground infiltration, and new utility services.

DiPrete Engineering’s scope of work included site/civil engineering, regulatory permitting with the Town of Cumberland and State of Rhode Island, construction documents, and administration.
